T.I.P.I Project Reghion Sprintech POR Calabria 2000-2006

    The project T.I.P.I was a research project for transferring knowledge and technology in the field of the restoration and architectural heritage, studying models, procedures, instrumentations, new technologies for identifying and recovering the finds on the sea bed. The core of T.I.P.I project was the realization of a network of museums on the sea bed in Calabria, developing many activities relative to the diving with together the authorities, administrations, universities. The phases of the work were five as follow: The first part was the bibliographic study and the analysis of the documentation relative to the historical news and the cartography of the sites where the archaeological finds are located; the second part was the developing of GIS containing the information about the position of archaeological finds; the third phase consisted in the scuba diving of specialist divers and identification of the finds on the sea bed by instrumentation; the fourth phase was the validation and the data classification; the fifth was the publication of the results. The project was realized in collaboration with external human resources which particular worked in the third phase and fourth. The best achievement was an important contribution in the field of the research and receiving an ovation from the authorities.
